Three Upcoming Books

Hey everyone! As the title says, I have three upcoming books! The first is the third book in the Dragons’ Myth series, titled ‘Alaryia’, and it has a rough release date of summer this year (2019). Although I would really like to put out an unrelated book due to having been working on the DM series for… going on seven years or so now I think… there is a certain timeline of events I need to follow. I can’t say much more than that about the timeline as I don’t wan’t to give anything away, but it’ll become clear in the future!

Another book, called Emergent, will be coming in 2020, again with a rough release date of around summer. This book is not part of the Dragons’ Myth series.

The last of the three, which I have yet to find a name for, will hopefully come out before Emergent (but after Alaryia), but we shall see; I think it depends on how easily the cover art comes together, as that is usually the toughest part. This book is also not part of the Dragons’ Myth series.

If you’re looking forward to these new books, keep an eye out on the News/Blog page, where I will be posting updates on their progress over the coming months and year!

As a side note, I’m still planning on putting out eBook versions of the two DM books currently published (and future books, of course). I would like to have those two done and up for sale preferably this year, but it depends on how busy I am with the three new books and life in general. I will make posts when they’re available as eBooks.

That’s all the updates at this time!

Ciao for now!

Projected Projects for 2019

With Renascence finally out, I’m on to the next things on my list for 2019. The problem is that I have four things I want to do!

  1. Make Dragons’ Myth into an eBook
  2. Make Renascence into an eBook
  3. Write the third Dragons’ Myth book
  4. Write an unrelated book

I don’t know if I will be able to get all four done in 2019, but that’s what I will aim for. Converting the first two books of the Dragons’ Myth series into eBooks should take considerably less time than writing a book, simply because it’s already written and all I’d have to do is change the formatting. Dragons’ Myth: Renascence – Available Now!

After about six years, I am extremely excited to announce that the sequel to Dragons’ Myth is finally now officially done, published, and for sale! You can find its page under the “Novels” tab, where you can read the book’s details and synopsis, see its cover, and find the link to its Amazon page. As of writing this post, the Amazon page won’t be fully done being built, but the book should still be able to be bought (if not, please let me know!). As mentioned previously, the link leads to the .com site. If you’re Canadian and would like to buy from its Canadian page, simply change the .com in the URL to .ca!

Because the title has already been questioned many times, I figure I will post my explanation here. So:

No, it’s not supposed to be Renaissance. Yes, it’s spelled right. Renascence, while very similar to the word “renaissance”, actually has a slightly different meaning, and that’s why I chose it. Renaissance, according to its definition, is about cultural rebirth, whereas renascence is just about rebirth in general. Its exact definition fits the plot so perfectly, so again, that’s why I chose it! The pronunciations of the two words are also slightly different. Renaissance is “ren-ah-saunse”, while renascence is either “ren-EH-sense” or “ren-AH-sense” (uppercase is the syllable to emphasize for proper pronunciation).

Anyway, back to the book! I’m so excited for you all to read it! Although many (most?) people think sequels aren’t as good as the first, I honestly personally think Renascence is better than the first, and I really hope it lives up to the expectations I have for it. It kind of boggles my mind that it’s been basically six or so years since I first published Dragons’ Myth, and the sequel has only come out now. Granted, it came out only a year and a half since the second edition of Dragons’ Myth, but the point still stands that I’d been working on only one book for over half a decade! So finally being able to say “I’ve published two books” is a milestone to me.

Currently, the price for Renascence is set at $10 USD ($13-something CAD), however, that price is only for a limited time. The price will go up to its normal price of $12 USD a week or two from today.

One thing I want to mention, is that I went through Renascence many times and tried very hard to make sure no errors made it to publication. That being said, it is still possible some slipped through (after all, even traditionally published novels have errors, and those authors have a whole team!), so if you buy the book and spot any, please let me know so I can fix it!

Lastly, please leave a (verified) review on its Amazon page if you buy a copy! It would mean a lot to me.

Thank you for your support, and I hope you love Renascence!

Dragons’ Myth Sequel News

The last time I gave an update regarding the sequel was when I said I wouldn’t update until I was done editing and the cover, as far as I remember. Well, I’m excited to announce that I’m done those two steps, and the proof copy has arrived! It arrived a couple weeks ago, but Christmas time was busy and I haven’t had much time to do anything regarding it.

My goal was to be done the sequel in time for Christmas, but to be honest, I was lazy. I could’ve easily had it done in time, but I procrastinated! Anyway, now I and my partner-in-editing will be going through the proof a few times to edit it. I’m hoping to get it done sometime this month, but don’t hold me to that. If I feel it’s necessary, I might take a bit longer to do go through it a few extra times, but I will see how it goes.

The next time I post an update will be when the book is complete and ready to buy on Amazon. I’m really excited for its completion, as I feel like it’s been five or more years in the making, and I’m hoping it lives up to my own hype and that everyone enjoys it!

Halfway There

Last night, the Dragons’ Myth sequel officially got to 50% completion, which I am extremely happy about! I also have the synopsis done already, which is a huge relief, as I’ve always struggled with condensing a 400+ page novel into a couple of short paragraphs. But who knows, maybe I’m getting better at it! I’ve also played around with the cover design a bit. I know how I want it to look, but I just have to take the time to make it, and make it look good.

On another note, I surprisingly already know the next book’s title, and more than likely the cover as well. I say “surprisingly”, because I usually can’t think of the title and cover that fast! However, I’m still not sure if I’m going to write the third instalment after the second, or if I’m going to write a separate book first. I don’t want to give anything away, but there would be something I would want to do with this separate book which I would like to happen before the third of the Dragons’ Myth series. But regardless, I’ll think about that more later, once I have the sequel published.

I’ll post another update when I reach 3/4 completion!
