Last night, the Dragons’ Myth sequel officially got to 50% completion, which I am extremely happy about! I also have the synopsis done already, which is a huge relief, as I’ve always struggled with condensing a 400+ page novel into a couple of short paragraphs. But who knows, maybe I’m getting better at it! I’ve also played around with the cover design a bit. I know how I want it to look, but I just have to take the time to make it, and make it look good.
On another note, I surprisingly already know the next book’s title, and more than likely the cover as well. I say “surprisingly”, because I usually can’t think of the title and cover that fast! However, I’m still not sure if I’m going to write the third instalment after the second, or if I’m going to write a separate book first. I don’t want to give anything away, but there would be something I would want to do with this separate book which I would like to happen before the third of the Dragons’ Myth series. But regardless, I’ll think about that more later, once I have the sequel published.
I’ll post another update when I reach 3/4 completion!
I now have an estimated time frame for putting together the eBook copy of Dragons’ Myth. I’ve decided to do it after publishing the Dragons’ Myth sequel, which will come out later this year. I thought maybe I would do it before that, but I decided not to, as the sequel has been four, going on five, years in the making (due to me deciding to redo the first), and I know people are looking forward to it; so I don’t want to postpone it any longer than necessary.
I lied, apparently! The book is back on Amazon already. That was like, what, fifteen minutes? Gosh. I’m a bit curious why they estimate the time frame so high. No complaining from me though!
It took a bit longer than I expected, but everything is good to go now for Dragons’ Myth; the errors have been fixed and it is officially in the process of getting back onto Amazon! It should be available again in 3 – 5 business days (so hopefully before the weekend).
I recently found out that ISBNs allow minor changes within a book instead of making every change require a new edition with a new ISBN. This is great news, as that allows me to fix any potential errors easily and quickly. On the same note, a couple people have notified me of a few small errors that snuck past the editing phase for Dragons’ Myth, and they (the errors) have been fixed and it should be available on Amazon again soon. Many thanks to the ones who pointed them out to me; I’m always looking to improve my writing and although I’m sure no book is 100% perfect, I want to have it as close as possible!
Due to the errors found, I have lowered the price of the copies of Dragons’ Myth being sold on my site here, as I have already have them and unfortunately can’t change them at this point. Please note, however, that I won’t be lowering the price every time any potential errors pop up. I’m simply doing it this once because one, I’m shifting over to selling through just Amazon instead of on here and Amazon and I therefore need to sell the rest of the stock that’s on here; and two, because the book can be updated on Amazon to fix any errors, whereas I can’t do that for the copies sold on my website.
Thanks again to the people who pointed the mistakes out to me!
Dragons’ Myth is now available on Amazon! To get to the page, please click the Dragons’ Myth image on the right side of the screen (or at the bottom, if you’re on mobile).
Despite wanting to stick with selling solely through my site, I’ve decided it’s in my book’s best interest to be sold through Amazon (at least for now, anyway). Right now I’m not sure if I will continue stocking for my site here, but I’m leaning more towards no (again, at least for now). Copies can still be ordered from here until the last one is sold.
